Kinninger Production Welding was started back in 1966 primarily as a weld shop only, with its sole customer being Crown Lift Trucks. Since that time it has progressed to a full service metal fabrication company with customers in medical, agriculture, specialty vehicle, material handling and food industries.
In 1993, Jack and Donna Thobe purchased the company with 7 employees in hopes to grow a successful family owned and operated business.
In 1995, Kinninger Production Welding was moved from its old location of 4000 square feet to the current location with 16,000 square feet at the time.
In 2002, an additional 20,000 square feet were added to help expand the company. With the additional space, equipment such as two lasers, a turret press and in house powder coating were added
In 2008, we again expanded an additional 18,000 square feet to bring us to roughly 54,000 total square feet.
In 2012, we added an additional 20,000 square feet to make room for the Salvagnini laser with automatic load and unload. With a facility currently at 74,000 square feet we employee over 50 non-union workers working 2 shifts.
In Late 2012, Jack and Donna fulfilled their dreams and sold the company to their son and his wife, Kevin and Cheryl Thobe,
In 2014, Kinninger has taken its next step into being your one stop shop with the addition of CNC machining capabilities.
